Episode 208: Swell Voyage with Liz Clark
Wednesday Mar 18, 2020
Wednesday Mar 18, 2020
Catherine is here today with Liz Clark. When Liz was nine, her family spent seven months sailing down Mexico's Pacific Coast. After returning to land life in San Diego, she dreamed of one day seeing the world by sailboat.
While earning her BA in Environmental Studies, she fell in love with surfing. After college, she serendipitously met a mentor who helped her acquire a sailboat.
Liz left California at 25 years old as captain of her 40-ft sailboat, Swell, in 2006, and has sailed over 20,000 nautical miles in the Pacific exploring for remote waves to surf, learning from new cultures, seeking truth, living simply from the sea, and promoting environmental causes.
She kept her nomadic lifestyle going through writing, blogging, photography, representing conscious brands, and earning recognition as a surf adventurer, environmental activist, and captain.
In 2015, she was nominated by National Geographic for Adventurer of the Year. Her recently released memoir, Swell: A Sailing Surfer's Voyage of Awakening, details both her inner and outer journeys over the last decade.
She hopes to inspire people to live their passions and reconnect with nature and our inherent Oneness. She is now based in Tahiti, taking a break from sailing to focus her energy on environmental and animal welfare activism, working with Changing Tides Foundation in the US, and A Ti'a Matairea in Tahiti.

Episode 206: Celebrate Your Life with Liz Dawn
Wednesday Mar 04, 2020
Wednesday Mar 04, 2020
Catherine is here today with Liz Dawn. Liz Dawn is the CEO and co-founder of Mishka Productions and Celebrate Your Life Events. Over 25 years ago, facing a turning point in her life, Liz Dawn packed up her apartment and headed towards her mom's house in Scottsdale, Arizona. And so, the journey began ...
Working as an actress in the theatre and on television for several years, securing consistent parts in LA was extremely difficult, so Liz took a two-month hiatus and joined her mom in Arizona. Completely exhausted and underweight, she collapsed for the first three weeks and then, so did the rest of Los Angeles after a devastating earthquake struck.
Determined to return to LA after getting some much-needed rest, Liz found herself resisting the journey back despite missing the man she had left behind and her passion for acting.
She took on some part-time work at a friend's esoteric bookstore because she knew she had to do something to get her energy in motion. Shortly after, the owner asked Liz if she would organize an evening seminar with James & Salle Redfield, authors of The Celestine Prophecy. Liz, despite not knowing anything about hosting events, said yes to the opportunity.
Over 1,400 people attended and was phenomenally successful. The immense sense of connection completely exceeded any expectations Liz had and gave her a tiny glimpse of what was to come. Shortly after this event, Liz was asked to organize many others and that's how Mishka Productions was born.

Flashback 2019: Co-Dependency and Healthy Boundaries with Terri Cole
Wednesday Dec 18, 2019
Wednesday Dec 18, 2019
Catherine is here today with Terri Cole. Terri Cole is a New York-based, licensed psychotherapist, relationship expert and founder of Real Love Revolution and Boundary Bootcamp, her two female empowerment courses reaching women in over 25 countries.
Before earning a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychotherapy from New York University and adopting a daily meditation/green juice/exercise lifestyle, Terri worked as a talent agent negotiating contracts for actors and supermodels.
A typical Type A overachiever with no balance or internal peace. Her ambition and fearless attitude fanned the “must get to the top” flames as she zipped across the country from Los Angeles to New York City fuelled by caffeine, nicotine, and adrenalin.
When it became evident that the things (money, power, job) that she thought would make her happy didn’t. She could no longer ignore the voice in her heart asking, “Isn’t there something more meaningful you could be doing with your life than making supermodels richer?” Happily, there was.
Her mission and dharma are teaching women how to attract and sustain healthy, vibrant, Real Love into their lives and how to establish and maintain effective boundaries with ease and grace.
For two decades, Terri has worked with some of the world’s most well-known personalities from international pop stars, athletes, Broadway performers and TV personalities to thought-leaders and Fortune 500 CEOs. Wednesday Dec 11, 2019
Wednesday Dec 11, 2019
Catherine is here today with Bethany Webster. Bethany is a writer, transformational coach, and international speaker. Her work is focused on helping women heal the Mother Wound so that they can step into their full power and potential.
Bethany started a blog in 2013 that was focused on defining the "Mother Wound" and explaining its key role in women's empowerment. Although work by writers such as Adrienne Rich and Christiane Northrup has touched on the Mother Wound, no one had yet fleshed out exactly what the Mother Wound is and why it remains a universal experience of women the world over.
Bethany's work has filled a crucial gap in our understanding of women’s psychology and empowerment by comprehensively defining the Mother Wound, how it manifests in women's lives and providing a roadmap to a solution with her 7 steps to healing the Mother Wound.
Blending cutting-edge research on intergenerational trauma, feminist theory, and psychology with her own personal story, Bethany's body of work is the result of decades of her own research and her personal journey of healing.
